A clock shop, opened by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, served as the base for contemporary watch making industry in Japan. In the beginning of the 20th century, Seiko implemented new technology that enabled mass production and distribution of wristwatches to Europe and America. In 1972 SEIKO establishes the first corporation on the USA territory, SCA. Its unique creations and constant innovations are the core of the success.
